Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This policy explains what Window Help does with the personal details you share when you use the enquiry form on this website, why we contact you, how long we keep your information, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Window Help is an independent information and enquiry service that helps homeowners diagnose window problems and decide whether to repair or replace. We are the data controller for the details you submit through this website. We are not a window manufacturer or installer; where you ask for an assessment, we pass your enquiry to a matched local installation partner (see “Sharing your information” below).
What we collect
When you complete the enquiry form, we collect:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- your phone number;
- your postcode; and
- whether you have told us you own your home.
We also automatically capture marketing attribution data so we can understand how you found us and measure our advertising. This includes the campaign source and other UTM values, ad-platform click identifiers (for example a Google or Meta click ID), the page you first landed on, your browser’s user-agent string, and your approximate IP address. This information is stored in first-party cookies and your browser’s local storage — our cookie policy explains this in detail.
How we use your information, and why we may call you
We use your details to respond to the enquiry you have made. In particular:
- We will contact you by phone, directly related to the application you made, to talk through your window problem and arrange a free, no-obligation assessment. We may also contact you by email or text about the same enquiry.
- We use your postcode to match you with an installation partner that covers your area.
- We use the marketing attribution data to measure and improve our advertising and to prevent fraud and duplicate submissions.
By submitting the form you agree that we may contact you about your enquiry in this way. There is no separate marketing consent tickbox: the notice shown with the form is the basis on which we contact you, and any contact is directly related to the enquiry you made. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent (given when you submit the form) and our legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry, arranging the assessment you asked for, and running our service securely and effectively. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Sharing your information
Where you ask for an assessment, we pass your qualifying enquiry to a matched local installation partner so they can contact you and carry out the assessment or any work you agree to. We also use trusted service providers who help us host this website, deliver messages and analyse our advertising; they may only process your data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months from your most recent contact with us, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal, accounting or fraud-prevention obligation. Marketing attribution cookies expire after 90 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
How to contact us
To ask about the data we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, or to withdraw your consent, you can reply to any message we send you, or contact us through the enquiry form on our homepage and ask to be put in touch with our data protection contact. We will respond within the timescales set by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
