Cookie policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage that Window Help uses on this website, what they are for, and how long they last.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. We also use your browser’s local storage in the same way. We use them to remember how you found us so that any enquiry you make is attributed correctly, and — once enabled — to measure how the site is used.
Cookies we set
When you arrive on the site, we set first-party wml_ cookies that record marketing-attribution data: the campaign source and other UTM values, ad-platform click identifiers (such as a Google or Meta click ID) and the page you first landed on. These are read only when you submit the enquiry form, so your enquiry can be attributed to the right advertising. The same values are also kept in your browser’s local storage. These wml_ cookies expire after 90 days.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
wml_* | First-party | Marketing attribution — stores UTM campaign values, ad-platform click IDs and the landing page, so an enquiry can be credited to the advertising that led to it. | 90 days |
Analytics and tag manager
We may add a tag manager (Google Tag Manager) and analytics tags in future to understand how the site is used. When that happens, those tools will set their own cookies — for example Google Analytics’ _ga and _ga_* cookies, and Meta’s _fbp/_fbc cookies — and this policy will be updated to list them before they go live. Until then, no analytics or advertising tags are active on this site.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and clear your local storage at any time. Blocking the wml_ cookies will not stop you using the site or submitting an enquiry — it only means we may not be able to attribute your enquiry to the advertising that brought you here. For more about cookies and how to manage them, see the ICO’s guidance.
